Reports and receipts
Produce statements, general body slides and attendance, Outstanding lists and branded receipts as PDF or CSV.
Reports turn your day to day record keeping into a clear picture of money received, ready to read at a committee meeting or to hand to an auditor. Receipts give each donor proof of their contribution. Both are produced from the records you already keep, so there is nothing extra to fill in.
What a report shows
The account for the date range you choose sits at the top, read as one sum: brought forward (what your records held before the first day of the range, including the cash book's opening balance) plus collected gives the total, and the total minus expenses gives carried forward. Where the cash book is kept, the line under it shows how much of the money is cash in hand and how much is in the bank.
Beside it, three figures cover money still to come: how much of the subscriptions due for the months in the range has been paid, outstanding arrears and promises, and money with collectors that has been taken but not yet handed in.
If the treasurer closes the books each month, the date range is marked Closed up to the last closed month, and says how many months after it are still open. Figures for a closed month are final.
Below, the details are in sections:
- Funds: what each fund brought forward, took in, spent and holds. Tick Compare with the same period last year to add last year's balance and the change.
- Monthly: money in and out for each month, and the balance at each month's end.
- Sources and Expenses: each source and category with its share of the total.
- Outstanding: the members who are behind, the quickest way to see who needs a reminder.
- Changes: entries changed or deleted after they were recorded, for the auditor.
Tap any fund, month, source or category to see the entries behind its figure, and export them. The fund and method filters narrow every figure. Expenses and the balances are not split by source, and the balances are not split by who recorded the money, so those filters show them as a dash.
The filters explained
- Date range
- The period you want to report on, for example a single month, a quarter or a full year.
- Fund
- Limit the report to one fund, such as General or Building, or include them all.
- Method
- Narrow to how the money came in, for example cash or bank transfer.
- Source
- Separate member contributions from a named Campaign or collection source.
- Recorded by
- Split the period per collector: pick one or more committee members to see just the money each of them took in.
Running a report
- Open Reports from the menu.
- Choose the date range you want to cover.
- Set any filters, such as a single fund, a method or a particular source.
- Read the account at the top, then open the section you need.
- Use Export to save payments, expenses, the month by month account, outstanding or changes as a PDF to print or share, or as a CSV to open in a spreadsheet.

The general body report
The statement the committee tables at the general body is its own document, built in one click from the Reports page. It carries the whole story on one page: the balance brought forward from before the period, income by fund and expenditure by category, the balance carried forward, the cash book balances where the book is open, subscription arrears and pending promises listed separately as money still to be received, the size of the register, and lines for the president, secretary and treasurer to sign the tabled copy.
Below the register, The period in the register lists the births and nikahs entered on the certificate register in the period, the members who moved to another mahallu, and the deaths, with each person's name, house number and date. It follows the same rules as the slides, so both show the same numbers. A report for one fund leaves this section out.
The four figures across the top read as one line: brought forward plus income minus expenditure gives carried forward. Brought forward is what your records hold from before the first day of the period, so a year never starts from zero unless it truly did.
Click General body report and pick English or Malayalam, whichever language the meeting speaks. It covers whatever date range the page is showing. The quick-range buttons jump to the current year so far or the last completed year, following the year start set for your organisation.
To print one fund's statement, for example for a madrasa committee meeting, choose that fund in the Fund filter first. The report then shows only that fund's figures, with the fund's name under the title, and leaves out the cash book. The Source, Method and Recorded by filters do not apply to it: clear them before printing.
General body slides
For a meeting held in a hall, the same accounts can be shown as slides on a screen or a TV. The slides come with charts: income and expenditure month by month, income by fund and by collection source, how the money was paid, expenditure by category, fund balances with what is still promised to each fund, money still to be received, appeals against their goals, the register by age and gender, and the period compared with the one before.
Each fund also gets a slide of its own: its opening balance, income, expenditure and closing balance, where its income came from, what it was spent on, and the promises and subscription arrears still owed to it. Under Fund reports in the slide list, tap a fund's name to leave its slide out.
Slides for clusters, waqf properties, the Waqf Board contribution, staff salaries, certificates, the noticeboard and WhatsApp messages appear when your masjid uses those parts of the app.
- On the Reports page, click General body slides, then New slides.
- Choose the period: last year, the last half year, this year so far, or your own dates. Choose what to compare it with, and the language.
- Add the meeting date and venue. Switch slides on or off, change their order, write the agenda, a President's message and plans for the year ahead, or add slides of your own. Turn Show totals in words off if the totals should show only as figures.
- Click Present. Use the arrow keys or swipe to move, F for full screen and O to see every slide. The print button saves the whole deck as a PDF, one slide per page.
To open the slides on the hall's screen or send them to members, turn on Anyone with the link can view under Share a link and copy the link. Add a password if the link should not open for everyone who receives it. Turning the link off stops it working at once.
When the link is pasted into WhatsApp, it shows a picture of the welcome slide with the meeting's title, date and venue. A link with a password shows a plain picture instead, so nothing about the slides is visible until the password is entered.
General body meetings
The meeting itself has a page: the day, the hall, who is asked to come and who came. Open Meetings in the menu, then New meeting. Choose who is counted (every active member, or one person per house), who the meeting is for (men, women or everyone; a member with no gender recorded is counted either way) and how attendance is taken.
Digital register. Press Open the meeting when people start arriving. Members are marked in on a phone as they come: search by name, house number or member code and tap Present. Whoever stands at the door does not need a login: switch on the Door link, optionally with a password, and send it to them. They type their name once, and every person they mark carries that name.
Passes. Before the meeting, Send passes sends every eligible member with a phone a WhatsApp message with a pass: a QR code and a six-character code. At the door, Scan a pass reads it with the camera, or the code is typed. A member who has no pass to show can be verified by phone: a code goes to the number on the register and they read it out. Both are counted as verified; a name tapped by hand is counted as marked by hand. The list and the count always say which is which. Passes and codes are WhatsApp messages paid for by the masjid.
Paper register. Print the signature sheet, one line per eligible person, grouped by cluster. Members sign it at the meeting. Afterwards, start entering and tick the names from the sheet.
Either way, Close the meeting when it is over. The count is frozen at that moment, so the figure read into the minutes never changes later. Print the attendance list in English or Malayalam, with lines for the president and the secretary to sign, or export it.
Exporting any list
Reports are not the only place you can export from. Every list in the dashboard has its own Export button above the table, offering the same PDF and CSV choice: Payments, Collections, Pending collections, Expenses, Members and Houses, as well as the lists on a single fund's or collection source's page.
An export always covers every record that matches what you have set, meaning the filters and the search box, not just the page you happen to be looking at. So a Collections list showing 25 rows of 400 still exports all 400. The document says at the top which filters were applied, and gives the total at the bottom. The saved file is named the same way, after the list, its filters and its period, so Expenses-Zakat-Fund-Cash.csv or Cash-Book-2026-09-01_2026-09-30.pdf can be told apart in a folder without opening them.
Putting a list in the order you want
Every list carries an Order chip alongside its filter chips, naming the column it is sorted by: "Order: Date", "Order: Amount". Tap it to pick a different column, and choose the highlighted one again to reverse it, so newest first becomes oldest first. The × on the chip puts the list back to the order it opens in. On a computer you can also click a column heading in the table to the same effect.
The order is part of the link, so a page you bookmark or send to someone else opens the same way round. It is also what the export uses: the document comes out in the order you were looking at, and says at the top which one that was. So a Payments list sorted by Amount, highest first exports as a sheet with the biggest payment on the first line.
A member's page, a house's page and a fund's page also offer Export statement: every transaction for that one member, household or fund, in date order. That is the document to hand over when someone asks what they have paid over the year.
Receipts
A receipt is a donor's proof that their contribution was received. Every receipt is numbered and branded with your masjid name and logo, so it looks official and is easy to trace later.
Once issued, a receipt can be shared as a PDF, for example by WhatsApp or email, printed for your records, or downloaded to keep. You can issue a receipt when you record a payment, or later from the payment's row. Either way it is created from the figures you have already entered. See Recording payments for how to issue one.
Receipts, payment reminders and printed reports all carry whatever you have set under Settings, in Branding: your logo, the faint background mark, and your seal and signature on the ruled lines if you have uploaded them, or blank rules if your committee prefers to sign the printed paper itself. The same section chooses the receipt design, from the classic full page to a compact half-page slip. Set those up once and every document you print or share is ready to hand over.
Changing any of that changes the receipts you issue from then on. A receipt already handed out keeps the seal and signature it was printed with, so a copy shared or printed again is the same paper the member is holding.
